Profile: Worked in an independent record store(s) for about 8 years, 1990-1998. I love vinyl and have tried to keep my hand in the record dealing game by selling at record fairs round the country, which then progressed to eBay trading as thegashman and then themightychew (currently 3000 positive feedback at 100%). In the early days it was money for old rope, and I had loads of rope! Nowadays it seems more hard work for small return (not helped by prohibitive rules and regs from eBay and PayPal themselves), but what money I do get simply goes to pay for more records. I still sell the odd bit here and there, but I'm going to limit it to a small number of choice items on Discogs, priced as competitively as I can.

Ejeca - Tusk Wax Five May 24, 2012
@spa5tik0lonz - agreed. So pleased to have spotted this, not my usual fare but I've picked up a couple of other Bicep related tunes as a result. On the hunt for other Ejeca tracks now :0) So, so, good.
For some reason this release seems to have polarised opinion in the press, with fans etc. I thought previous Lone material was OK, take it or leave it. But I really like this album as a cohesive set of tracks. Makes me think back to the early 90's when 'people' said that there could be no such thing as a dance album; dance was consumed in single tracks, 12"s and the like. Folks just need time to get used to changes before they can then progress on to liking those changes. So, I like this. But then again, I'm an ex-90's raver Dad who now mostly listens to dance music sitting down at work...
@Borowczyk76 - I disagree

As @easydata666 has pointed out, this is a legit repress on the 1972 label from midheaven.com
My local, 'bricks and mortar' record store - £17.99. My un-local online record store - £7.50 + shipping. Basic market rule is that customers quite often gravitate to the cheapest outlet for their goods. In this context, how is Record Store Day going to help sustain physical record stores?

@SpacedSymphony - thanks for the comment. But when you say, "there is a chance you will be VERY disappointed if you look to obtain wanted item on the internet.", my point is that I DID pick up both the items I really wanted....on the internet, bypassing the physical store completely and for less than half the price my local store was charging. The whole RSD-day was then capped off with the discovery that Amazon (not a bricks and mortar independent record store full of folks chatting and eating cake, as far as I can tell ;0) also have this for sale. RSDBS. Peace.

@SpacedSymphony - Hang on, Amazon.com? Possibly the largest VIRTUAL store in the world has this for pre-sale (it does, I checked)? What kind of bullshit is this? It would seem that the vinyl collectors of the world are divided into (apparent) mugs who queue for up to 4 hours to support a bricks-and-mortar store only to be told that the records they want have sold out, but can be purchased for a kidney on eBay etc, and then the more astute collector who shops around online to get the very same items at half the 'physical world' price. Remind me what the point of RSD is again???

@redi - Hi there. Thanks for the advice, but if you call that a rant you must have been home-schooled. Nah, I'm just kidding, thanks again. Through the kindness of another Discogger I bought one online in the end for 16 euros, which kind of backs up my "RSD is bullshit" sentiments. Peace.

Oh the hardcore pigeons have come to roost with me in a BIG way. After flipping records for the past few years I gave it a miss this year and wandered down to Truck in Oxford at 11am to see if there was anything I fancied. I picked up the 2 Many DJs LP for £22, which was top of my short list of wants. "Did you have the Zomby LP?" I asked. Yes, he said, they've all gone. That's OK, I'll pick one up on Discogs probably...................yeah, after I win the f*cking lottery!! RSD is bullshit.

UPDATE: I picked two up for £14 each in the end from an online ONLY store (not sure how, I thought RSD was for bricks and mortar stores only...???). So I'll keep one for myself and flip one in a years time to pay for both. RSD rules ;0) Toodle oo.
Anybody have a 'Scooby Doo' who this is? It's good regardless.
Am I tripping? Is that £100 retail as standard?
