Bel Canto - White-Out Conditions - 09-Aug-06 05:08 AM
The debut album by Norwegian band Bel Canto, with Geir Jenssen (who left the band after their second album, Birds of Passage to release music as Bleep and then Biosphere), White-Out Conditions is utterly beautiful and harks back at early Cocteau Twins stuff, albeit with an obvious electronic touch.

Murcof - Martes - 28-Jun-06 01:11 PM
Possibly one of the very best electronic albums of all time. Murcof's Fernando Corona works minimal modern classical samples into subtle micro beats and clicks to create an album full of emotions.

Black Dog & Black Sifichi, The - Unsavoury Products - 09-Feb-05 04:06 PM
This is just an absolute masterpiece. The way the music wraps itself around Safichi's poems is just insane. This is one of the most imaginative records I've ever heard. Although there's is no connection between tracks, this album is extremely consistent.

Secret Frequency Crew - Forest Of The Echo Downs - 19-Nov-04 12:45 PM
A truly beautiful record which combines classic anaologue electronic with guitars, pianos, trombones and bass to create one of the most evocative records of the year. There are hints of Boards Of Canada, Jean-Michel Jarre-circa Oxygene, Portishead and so many more stuff on this record, yet it is totally unique.
