Reviews & Discussion:

Public Domain - Too Many MC's / Let Me Clear My Throat Apr 10, 2005 (edited over 7 years ago)
Is it just me, or are both these tracks too similar to be on the same release?

I find "Let Me Clear my Throat" to be just a little more punchy than the flip, but still, both tracks are too similar in my opinion.

That said, it's a great track! Great to drop in the middle of your set, especially if you'r making a change in style and are planning on hardening things up a little. "Let me clear my throat!"
Flashheadz - Wizards Of The Sonic / Promised Land Apr 10, 2005 (edited over 7 years ago)
Promised Land is simply the best hard trance track I've heard this year. It's got a big hard beat, great melodies, and then this:

"Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I'm not concerned about that now. I just want to do God's will. And He's allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I've looked over. And I've seen the promised land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people will get to the promised land." - Martin Luther King.

When "get to the promised land" breaks, everything just goes nuts. Guaranteed to rock the dance floor. Enjoy!
Above & Beyond's remix of this already great track is simply pure genius. In my experience, I'd often had to layer the original track to get more out of it, but Above & Beyond have gone and put a superb trance melody behind it all, which just blows the roof off.

The Above & Beyond Essential Mix, as featured on BBC Radio 1 was voted best Essential Mix of 2004, and this track was one of the most powerful on it.

It's clear that as long as great artists are still remixing this track, it's just not going to go away.
Andy Hunter°* - Go Apr 10, 2005 (edited over 7 years ago)
"Go" is an exciting trance track, with a bit of breakbeat right in the middle for good measure. It's the first track on Andy's excellent CD, Exodus, and was featured on the trailers for The Matrix Reloaded, and Starcraft: Ghost.
Siminz - Conviction 2 Feb 09, 2005 (edited over 7 years ago)
Second part of a limited promo pressing by New Zealand Christian producer Dr Siminz. All the tracks are pretty decent, but sound a bit dated. That said, Paul van Dyk got a hold of it and playlisted Fathom. Holy Ground is my personal favourite, with some good pads and cool samples.
Condor - On My Own Nov 16, 2004 (edited over 7 years ago)
Freakin excellent record! I pulled it at random off a shelf in the record store, and the salesman didn't even know if the track was any good, but I threw it on anyway. So glad I did. Both mixes are quite similar, but I find the Les Voix B Side mix to be higher energy than the Le Male mix. The B side also doesn't have the vocals from the first side, which is a welcome ommition. All in all, high quality high energy trance.
Greg Murray - Ursa Majoris Nov 16, 2004 (edited over 7 years ago)
The original is good piece leaning towards epic trance. The Deep mix could be described simply as "Ambient" and is slower and much more "deep" and grooving. Both are great tracks, but I find the Original will please audiences more.
Cosmic Gate - Somewhere Over The Rainbow (Part II) Oct 19, 2004 (edited over 7 years ago)
Although sounding a little dated now, the Scot Project mix of Firewire is simply one of the hardest most superb tracks of all time. You may find this one a hard to find record, as it's so immensely popular. The Over the Rainbow mix by Beam and Yanou is as good as any other mix of the song, but again does sound a little dated.
