Sickboy - Musical Therapy - 04-May-09 01:27 PM
Sickboy really grew on me with this 3rd album. Much more clear and enjoyable sound. Though old funny techniques were saved in some tracks (well in new form of course). Now it looks like a work of musician not a set of cracked and mashed brutal noisy covers on popular songs made just for fun as his previous output was. I guess this change in sound will divide Sickboys fan block into two groups: "harder! faster!" and "intelligent" id name :)

Cant highlight any particular track as they all are good enough. Recommended to those who prefer careful listening at home.

Mathias Grassow - Deeper Purity - 26-Aug-08 02:40 AM
This is a non-stop ambient journey through memory waters. Very subtle and delicate sound with no real peeks, it reminds me a beautiful morning (summer or winter - doesnt matter, fits both) in a silent place where only you and nature are. And you feel all that deeper purity covering you. Piano chunks make the music meditative and not too minimal at the same time, so hopefully you would enjoy it even during careful listening.

With this album, Mathias Grassow still holds his mark as a great ambient maestro. Worth to check.

E.O.G. - Hassle EP - 03-Jun-07 03:30 PM
A great release in classic IDM style. Crunchy rhythms, fragmented melodies, deep tough atmosphere. Recommended to all who wants to be aware of gold IDM years.
Birdwatch with its basspulses is a highlight of EP.

Meat Beat Manifesto - Subliminal Sandwich - 09-Mar-07 04:25 AM
One of the albums I think everyone should listen to. The first listening can be not impressive (the right note "Important: play twice before listening.") but after injection this music starts to grow inside of you. And you wanna it more and more.

Black Dog, The - Music For Adverts (And Short Films) - 13-Nov-06 10:47 AM
Most charming Black Dogs album for me. No techno and stuff like that from their previous works. A bunch of beautiful nostalgic tracks i.e. Tzaddi, No Lamers, Crayola and of course Euthanasia. This is what I call near-idm mixed with ambient and classic electronica of mid 90s.
