3000003 - Skunk Famine / Green Bishop - 08-Feb-08 04:09 PM
I did my serious raving in the mid 90's when i was in my mid twenties and as far as i am concerned this was the absolute best time for techno and hardtrance releases. There are so many classic releases from the 90's on labels such as Prolekult, Noom and many others that remind me of the fantastic free parties i used to go to. I cannot believe more people do not know of the Roost record label. They have bought out some of the finest acid trance releases of the 90's and the Free Radicals track here called Skunk Famine is surely up there with the best of the free pary tunes from the 90's. Dont take my word for it-check this tune out yourself, you wont be sorry.
Shuffle Inc* - Remember New York - 31-Jan-08 12:39 PM
"you remember the first time you heard house music where were you at, what where you doing. Were you in a club dripping hot with sweat letting the house music fill your body? Were you at home listening to the radio going 'what is that?' This is house music. Comes down through your head and enters your body and hits you right there, you know what i'm talking about, right there. Just let the rhythm fill your body, just, just hit that spot. This is house music." Superb deepness here with a vocal to die for. Forget hard house, forget house, this is deeeeeeeeep period.
Fish Go Deep - Andavar - 09-Jan-08 05:03 PM
The A side is an absoultely mental deep house track with a "flat eric" type distorted bassline and crystal clear production. Think Peace Division or some of the better diy releases and you are on the right track. B1 does nothing for me, but B2 uses a seriously deep bassline again with some chopped up female vocals and fantastic producton to produce another deep house gem. If you are into deep house then you simply must check this label out.
Interlect 3000 - Volcano - 13-Nov-07 05:02 PM
Released in 1993, a year before the famous acid techno label Stay Up Forever was even started. This release shows that although the Liberator crew championed the underground acid sound, they by no means started it. Forget the B side and check out the two A side offerings. Two slabs of proper acid that would not sound out of place on an early Stay Up Forever, Smitten or Routemaster release. Well worth tracking this down if you haven't heard it.
Nervasystem - The Discworld EP - 11-Nov-07 03:53 PM
This is an absolute gem of a record that i cant believe was never fully released. The breakbeat style of all the tracks means that when played at a slower speed, it is ideal material for an early morning set when everybody's legs are getting a bit tired and you want to chill things out a bit. This is not a psy trance release in any sense of the word but pure free party music. The second track on side B is the nuts. There is a real driving 303 element to this track, (think Josh Wink's 'a higher state') and i would gladly swing my hips to this track on a sunday morning with the sun coming up with me....
