Space DJz - On Patrol! Nov 30, 2008
I'm really surprised by the rating of the album here. To me, it's one of the best techno albums out there. Just a little illustration: I have a directory called dj_case serving as a repository when DJing. Rare are the releases where almost every track goes into it, and this is one of these. Onto the album: my personal highlights are Solaris (kind of unusual hypnotic techno track), Descending Life (kick drum that kills, it's like sound sculpturing, and the rest of the sounds are very refined too), Centre Field (classic "funky" techno, strong groove and bassdrum that humps). Nevertheless, this album is not about techno only, there are some other but similar vibes here.
I think not even it comes close to Halle Bob, it overcomes it in many ways, and this is related to the first comment, you moderators. So let me continue.... it's a kind of the very best techno you ever heard: very precise, clear ideas, love for the sound, completely technically inspired, tweeky, wacky, funky, happy, enlightened. OK, so 75 words you say... it's time to end possibly the best comment on Discogs so far.

Somewhere around the Very album, they started to loose their inspiration, which by now is on miserable levels. Comparing to the stuff like Actually, Introspective and Behavior, everything later is getting more weaker. I don't know what happened to them, but somewhere deep I know they're missing their own vibes. That's for sure. Domino Dancing, Left To My Own Devices and DJ Culture, this kind of inspiration - that's what true PSB lovers miss. Even their 2-girl tribute band from Sweeden remade just their older songs.

This is exceptional mixture of Macedonian folk music, Byzantine church music and glitch electronica. Using live instruments, voices, as well as blips, pops and synthpads. It is very likely that you didn't hear music such as this by now.

It's quite weird no one yet put some comments regarding a project that is important as Autechre, The Orb or Future Sound Of London. Maybe because they didn't quite succeed in selling their thing, but I'm sure the time will bring them where they're deserve to be. Their works are ranging from ambient to house, from peace to groove, that's how complete they are. Really can't decide what piece is better: 76:14 or Blood Music: Pentamerous Metamorphosis ... Simply amazingly good works.

This is very classic, and very well known melody heard in many releases by various artists and styles. To me, this melody is taking a part in a definition of electronic dance music. This release is epic one. In this case, the classic melody is packed in very groovy and smooth progessive, filled with very nice pads. A must for every serious electronic music lover.

Hypnotic. Danceable. Repetitive. Nice rezo-synths. Nice pads. Experienced above all. It's party time. Been listened to Technasia live on exit 2004. This year I can't wait to hear this album live... Great stuff for ones who know.
Autechre - Garbage Apr 11, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
Garbagemx36 is most probably the best song I've ever heard because it has so much layers, so much good ideas and finally it feels like one long story which incorporates all the good sides of music itself. There's rhythm, there's melody, there are harmonies, there are disharmonies. There are clicks and plops - everything you need. It's like an ode to the humanity with all good and evils together. The song is sad and happy in the same time.

He is one of the pretty much unknown yet so fantastic artists out there. Pure IDM with a typical "nordic" vibe, very much like Higher Intelligence Agency, Brothomstates or MD. He is year's 2005 discovery to me, and let me take this opportunity to ask all real lovers of electronic music to taste this beautiful music...
