Emmanuel Top - Asteroid
Dec 28, 2007
This album is marked as minimal and acid. After many listening, i found also quite experimental. Long tracks with very slow evolve. Very specific samples like lightbolts, electric charges, industrial noises, clashes. Very emotional in way of listener's actual settings and environment. Every listening is quite different as well the feel from it. Whole album has running story, check the namings of tracks, so try to not shuffle on very first listening. You can find various beats, but in fact all the focus of Emmanuel seems to be in layers, an efects and rythm sections. The drums are more on the backkground or as the point of connection between the tracks, but don't wory, you will enjoy some repetetive beats as well.
Hardfloor - TB Resuscitation

Classic ACID music. Clear sound of TB303/909. This is important checkpoint in the electronic music. As it is mostly Roland machines, it's quite simply in matter of layers, efect sounds or whatever you like on 'trance'/'psytrance', but in fact all the tracks have quite trance composition format. It is half dance and half chillout tracks. Clear open/close highs, clear 'roland' beats. Inner track 'story' is smooth and positive energized. TB303 is presented heavily on this album.
Fist Of Fury - The Exorcist

I got this vinyl after teknival at Mimon @ Czech republic. I just listen it for first time and the hard "evil" beat got me. I used to acid/techno at those times, but it totally force me to buy it.
Both "main" tracks are great, totally amazing samples, work with samples and the part before "beat is coming" is really lovelly. I am proud to have one of those rave vinyls from HL. And you should buy one for your self too, coz you are really missing master piece of hardcore music. | ||||
The earlier tunes are quite pure 303/909 sounds, later it became more heavy, wide and distort to adapt the needs of the dancing scene. So the very early tunes are let's say more loaded by pure acid stright beat, clear 303 lines less samples. But the cult is still there.
