Various - Mas Mix Que Nunca - 10-Jan-08 11:33 AM
The best megamix ever made! ...Counting on the equipment available in 1986. Mike Platinas and Javier Ussía after leaving Max Music, went to Italy to record an album with Memory Records, using songs of their catalogue, all of them italo-disco tracks. This megamix was kidnapped from the spanish record shops being only available via import. It sold 35.000 copies before its disappearance, and without any promo! Today is a hard-to-get album like the "Skate board 2" megamix.
Flash Zero - Conspiracy - 05-Oct-07 03:49 PM
Flash Zero was the first Spanish Electronic Body Music band, being influenced by Front 242, Cabaret Voltaire, Alien Sex Fiend or Nitzer Ebb... Also we can find signs from other Spanish techno-pop bands as Aviador Dro or Azul y Negro in the sound of Flash Zero. The following years, Megabeat, Chimo Bayo, Boa Club and some other spanish projects began their musical activity in clubs and charts, following the path opened by Flash Zero. Respect!
Various - House Classics Volume One - 12-Sep-07 07:04 AM
Ten years after the release of this album, by the Spanish label Vendetta Records (sub-label of Blanco y Negro), it's time to do a little review. This 3CD set contains not all the classics of the begginning of House Sound, but all tracks included are real classics!! I miss "Acid Trax" by Phuture, or "Everything starts with an E" by Ezee Posse; but this collection is a complete portrait of a unique moment when this new music "House" blowed up our minds and definitely stayed with us. The only fail I can hear in this edition is the mastering, not all the tracks are normalized and optimized to obtain clear sound, but some masters where made up from a cassette recording, as Mike Pickering recognized about his track "Cariño" by T-Coy (included here as well). Some tracks were difficult to find, so I imagine the mastering from original vinyl had to be made. "House classics" is an excellent collection for all House Music lovers.
