Reviews & Discussion:
Petter's mix is fantastic, shame it's on a label like GU as I don't think it'll get the recognition it deserves - sounds like the kind of thing Villalobos would drop. Gloriously warm and funky. Buy this record if you see it, for that remix alone.
This is a really nice package, the original mix is a phat, smooth minimal house affair with a gorgeous warm bassline and flowing chords. Border Community mainstay Nathan Fake keeps the groove of the original in his remix, adding some titanium-plated techno beats and quirky glitch edits, and a great cinematic ending.
my only complaint is that there are only 2 tracks in this release, where other BC releases have had more. a more stripped down version of the original wouldn't have gone amiss, but this is a minor quibble. a strong release.
a nice remix package. nathan fake's mix has little to do with the original, pretty much making a new track in his typical computerfunk style, complete with crazy edits and a monsterous breakdown.
jark prongo's remix is more linear, sticking more with the groove of the original but toughening up the drum part. less incendiary than nathan's mix. | ||||
