Mind Vacated - 23-Mar-09 12:06 PM
White label originating from Wakefield, UK. Uses vocal from Ruffcuts Run To Me (Carol Jones) with a newly produced piano based track. Sticker on centre reads For info ring (0924 372086), some are stickerd some are not.
The actual vocals on this track were reworked and then rerecorded over a newly made piano track and were Sung by two different female singers in the home studio of the band on their parents farm just outside Wakefield were this track was recorded.
it was a very limited pressing of about 100 copys out of the bands own money and then it was given out to some of the clubs djs round Wakefield and Leeds and got played out in such clubs as the gallery and the warehouse in Leeds.
their was interest from manics record label Union City Recordings after lee hudson had heared the record but it never got signed to them unfortunately and the band went on to record two more white labels and carried on doing pas round england and were one of the lesser known bands from that great time in dance music .
and i still own one of the original dats for this recording from the studio .

Denise Lopez - Don't You Wanna Be Mine - 14-Jan-09 03:53 PM
The recent bootlegs have the same catalogue number as the original as they are proper fakes. From looking at the label you can tell theyve been scanned into a computer and re-printed as the quality is inferior. Same goes for the sleeve, its been scanned in and some of the edges dont match up properly. The vinyl is quite thick and heavier than an original, and the sound quality is, to put it mildly, proper shite.
And i hasten to add COPY not booty as some of the tracks are actually off of the original stampers so they are exactly the same as the orginals ,
looking at the Denise Lopez & Ce Ce Rogers records the colours or print havent been lined up properly so it gives it a kinda trippy feel if you know when youve seen a picture in the newspaper that hasnt printed right ,
It is all so said their are 100% copys of k l fs Last train to trancentral remix ,
Mass Order - Lift Every Voice (Take Me Away) - 01-Jan-09 04:29 PM
Mass Order was a House Music duo from Maryland, whose members were Eugene Hanes and Marc Valentine. They released one album, Maybe One Day, in 1992. Their single Lift Every Voice (Take Me Away), was a soulful song that was instrumental for the sub-genre of Garage House, which was made popular in the late 80s and early 90s by House Music DJ Tony Humphries , and features samples of soul diva Loleatta Holloway on this record as did black box on ride on time too the "take me away" bit .
Stone Roses, The - Elephant Stone - 18-Dec-08 10:01 AM
Been A Old Indie Head Myself I Have Got To Say Here We Have Another Timeless Indie Classic From The Stone Roses, Elephant Stone, a lighter, jangly pop song, With Deep Rolling Beats And Drum Sound Witch set the wheels in motion for what would be called the "Madchester" craze. The bands near-flawless debut, released in May 1989, showcased John Squires love for 60s hooks set to House-inspired beats that defined the "baggy Sound At That Time ,This set the band’s catchy neo-psychedelic guitar Sound in To stone ,
