Trancescape - Producelast - 17-Oct-06 12:31 AM
This track became popular when jump gained popularity in Belgium and the Netherlands. It's the unique mix of hardtrance and jump that was responsible for its huge success. Due to the enormous success, there was also an extra pressing.

The bass isn't that heavy, especially not at the beginning of the track, but it's the melody that is very uplifting and which turns it into a powerfull track. Because of several climaxes in the track, the melody never begins to annoy and makes you go crazy every time you hear it again.

Nowadays it's a very popular track, but in the future it will be more than that: it will most definitely become a real classic!

Sash! - Move Mania - 13-Oct-06 12:49 AM
This record is not well known, but is a nice "wannahave" for Niels Van Gogh fans.

The record starts with vocals from Shannon. These explain the message of the track: people living in a world full of stress, addicted to things they want to have; blinded and not seeing in what a wonderful world we live.

When the beat starts to introduce the melody, you will immediately recognise another track of Niels Van Gogh, named Pulverturm.
The melody is not strong and powerfull enough to play it for the full 10 minutes that the track lasts, but it's perfect to start with the vocal and play the song until the pauze in the middle of the track when you are a dj.

Conclusion: a good track, nicely composed, but after all not that exciting.

Ed Condor - Salto Mortale - 15-Jun-06 01:29 AM
The remix version (B-side) begins with a silent, but surprising sound that makes the listener very curious of what will follow. A heavy beat starts and after a while a short sample that will be used as the melody later, is brought into the pumping beat. You will hear this immediately: this is not just trance, but serious hardtrance that will give you goosebumps when the climax has arrived!
This track surely knows how to build up a climax to keep the listener focused on the track. During the track more and more sounds are coming up and – inevitably- the climax arrives. A spacey vocal says "salto mortale" and then the track itself explodes with energy. The melody is very powerful, unfortunately it becomes repetitive after a while. Actually, that's the only weakness of this track.
Very surprising in this track is the fact that it exists of 2 parts. After about 4 minutes the song comes to an end. At least, that's what the listener thinks, yet it could not be further from the truth. Another sound is brought in and is played together with the previous sample, but with the same melody as before.

The extended version on the A-side is also very good. The track begins even more mysterious and more "trance-like". Sounds like beating on drums are presented during the warming-up of the track and the vocal saying "salto mortale" announces the melody again. The melody is quite the same as in the remix version, but made with another sample.
During the melody, you can also hear the sound of drums, which adds another dimension at the track, but it is repetitive as well and less powerful than the remix version.
I definitely prefer the remix version of Salto Mortale, but unfortunately few people know this vinyl.

Laurent Warin - Techno Garden - 31-May-06 08:03 AM
Techno garden is a very rare and unknown record, however it is one of the best tracks ever released from Laurent Warin, perfectly usable in a lounge bar or during a warming-up.
The title of the track is a little bit confusing, because this track is definitely not pure techno, but a mix between trance and techno.

The track itself starts very calm, then a deep sound comes up and leads the listener to a climax.

On the breaks you hear a raw and powerfull vocal saying "techno garden". Later on, the vocal announces the melody of the track with the sentence "Welcome to heaven. Can you feel the rythm?" and that's exactly what this track is all about: enjoying and relaxing, dreaming away on a sunny cloud.

Cyclic Evolution (the B-side) is a more known track, because it has been released on a Club System cd. The song itself has a complete other style. The vocal here is a female voice and the track itself is much more uptempo and invites people more to dance instead of relaxing.

Folko - Spread Love (All Over The World) - 05-May-06 05:43 AM
When you like uplifting trance tracks you have to listen to this track. First you will hear a nice beat, easy mixable for deejays, with a repeating sample that will be used later on to build a nice melody. The vocal announces the theme of the track. The melody then begins quite fast and in combination with the vocal it makes the track very uplifting. It's the kind of track that you will start liking more and more by listening more often to it!
