Love this one... the A1 is among my favorite tracks ever.
Terrence Parker Mar 16, 2012
He's so underrated as a producer it's crazy!!! He has like 5 or 6 tracks that are like all time classics - Just about every record on Intangible is great, actually. Not to overshadow anything else that he's done, just scroll up and look at all his names he's recorded under! Damn so much soul... Honestly Terrence Parker is house. He lives and breathes it and executes it perfectly. The hihats do what hihats should do, the snares do what snares should do... I don't need to go on, it's just fantastic really.

Well like you, I heard Last Stop on the Harvey mix... And I have a feeling this is going to be one of those tracks I'll spend all my life looking for and never find. So good. Has everything a disco track needs, really, which is weird because it turns out Aura Urziceanu is like a Romanian jazz singer or something? The fact that this record even exists is mind blowing.

Todd Terje - It's The Arps EP Feb 17, 2012 (edited 3 months ago)
Let's be honest: for me there are probably less that ten tracks that can actually bring a tear to my eye. I don't consider myself to be too sensitive of a man... but Inspector Norse really reduces my emotions to those of a 6 year old just about every time. For me it dosen't target one emotion, but just about every one at the same time. It sums up your entire life.
"Ok, so for the cover... let's just put a big choad on the thing... It's not like our careers are really going anywhere, dude, It'll be fine."
Theo has partly explained the story of this track in his red bull interview: He was 15 years old, living at his grandmother's house, and he 'borrowed' his uncle's keyboard for a few days or so to record some tracks onto cassette, and the last one of these turned out to be Insane Asylum. He says it originally had a rediculous drum part, but it didn't line up with the keyboard right, so all he kept was the kick... The crunchy parts you hear in the track are Theo hitting the busted RCA cable on the back of the casio so that it would partially short out, and he could hit it again to go back to normal. It sort of blew my mind to hear the story of this record, so I reckoned I'd better share it here.
