Various - Peace And Love - 18-Sep-08 01:25 PM
This is a great compilation if the tracks supposed to be connected to each other would be. The problem is that the mastering was not really well made or the press made a big mistake 'cuz there's a blank in between tracks and it's really annoying. I had to extract the CD and re-make a proper CDr with the tracks properly connected by myself to enjoy this as they now fade to each other and the story flows by now...
Anyways the tracks are great and some are evolving until some deep night psyrance, nothing as hard as Vertigo (Indigo is their ambient sub-label) uses to release, but it's just deep, very psychedelic and really enjoyable.
Ocelot made nice tracks as well as some new others I never heard of before like Unix, Izzumm, Timoon...
This CD might be played on a chillout stage during the night time or at home if you need a deep psychedelic ambient experience.
Music: 6/6 - really nice Cover 5/6 - I like the colours! Finalization: 0/5 for the blank spaces, they should reprint a proper batch...
Azriel - Aquatic Sunshine - 10-Sep-08 08:11 AM
What a great release!! Wow! David is done with his first EP full of emotional melodies and sounds resurrecting from the good old Goa days with an actual psytrance sound and his own professional touch. Music was made at his own studio in Quebec city, while the artwork was done by Maude Cliche-Ricard, a great artist and traveller... Both tracks are around 140-130 bpm's, acidic, Goaish, huge & strong basses with awesome kicks, spiritual voices and samples made with actual gear! Highly recommended for any melodic morning lover and people who like dancing at sunshine ;-) This release is a must! 5/5
Various - EthnoVibes Ambient - 08-Sep-08 08:08 AM
This Cd is listed as "ambient" and I bought it from there. But I was kindly surprised when I heard it: this is Goatrance from the old days, not ambient at all! The music is very high and melodic, this is pure Goa tunes from the legendary artists from Israel, the place where some of the best Goatrance artists comes from! The beat is not high in bpm's but stills high and very danceable. This makes my mind happy and shaking ;-)
Perceptual Outer Dimensions - Euphonia - 18-Jun-08 12:40 PM
Actually this CD is quite trance-goaish in the "old" term of things and in the manner that it's constructed. There's a lot of electronic instruments and a bit of industrial elements, but this is a very enjoyable CD for fans from old Goa music. The album goes thru a long enjoyable story. The voices and atmospheres are really enjoyable and most tracks have a deep feeling of joy and celebration to life. Some voice samples are telling us the good side of things in life while the music, almost composed with vintage synths, warps perfectly at each time our mind to get deep into musician's trip. Really nice!
