Track 7 is an edit of a longer piece from the 'Gokaku No Kyoten' box set.

Born merely as a compilation of live tracks, this album with that horrible cover (but for me it's wonderful) is actually a real pot of gold instead of a disc. Like someone suggested: "Hawkwind performing at an airplane landing", Hijokaidan were a perfect but rusty noise-jamming-machine. Unlike some of their counterparts like Merzbow,Incapacitants and others,in this extracts they refused the ultranoise road preferring istead a more psych-spacey sound with a ruthless raw attitude, like a crazy centrifuge rattled in a storm of chaos. Even if in the future they will prefer more noisy streets, in this furrows you can notice ancestral shades of rhythm, like some broken 909ts with discharged batteries,so the drums/percussions come and go, are disjointed and seems to always have to be swallowed by some giant japanese carp. Honourable mention to the opener track (Mantohihi (Ōsaka)) a perfect concert for soloists coughing and vomiting, with scattered applauses, and the best track of the set (Sōzō Dōjō (Ōsaka)),full of rock-a-billy guitars, free saxophones and whirpools of feedbacks,a marvellous crescendo song. Even the rest of the lot is precious, with the lasting two tracks on top(the noisier peak of the disc),but at the end Zouroku No Kibyou is a rough diamond, bright and precious, one of the most historical landmarks coming from the land of the rising noise, and my favourite Hijokaidan's record forever and ever. And under the noise, only silence.
