"Rising Son" is one of the best tracks 4 Hero ever released! Right up until they totally embraced Jungle/Drum n Bass, their releases were highly individualistic, almost psychedelic! Their "Head Hunter" 12", with "Make Yah See Spiders On The Wall" was the last one that really epitomised their early style.

4 Hero turned down Island Records so they could release this on their own label.

Mr Kirk's Nightmare Vs Rising Son? Two of their very early releases. The latter is criminally underrated imho.

Which one wins? Rising Son, hands down :)

'Rising Sun' single is one of the 4 Hero's first works, from may 1990. The main track, 'Rising Sun', brings a simbiosis of hip hop influenced breakbeats, MC participation, nasty guitars and Inner City synth timbres. According to the specialists, it's the very beginning of the hardcore movement together with the Shut Up & Dance productions.
