Looking back at 2014, A & Z's Invocation was my absolute favorite trance song of the year. If there is one word I had to use to justify the reason for making this proclamation, it's this: Epic. The fast pace (going at 140 BPM during a time when most trance songs seem to be dropping below 130), the euphoric breakdown and buildup, the Middle Eastern vibes and vocals; there's just a lot about Invocation that is simply beautiful. Had it not been for Aly & Fila playing this song on their Trance Nation compilation, I honestly don't know what other song would have taken the spot of favorite trance song of the year. I simply love this song and I am also looking forward to what A & Z have to offer for 2015.
