Laricheard is a great hommage to Mr. Fingers, one for the late night vibes, dont think I'd bring this one to the clubs, this is couch listening session material. Happy sunday nights.

Is it me, or has anyone else had their vinyl become damaged over time because of the plastic sleeve? Mine looks like it has water damaged, but it clearly hasn't. I've read oils in the plastic sleeves can affect the vinyl over time..

laricheard = Larry Heard + Richard. It's a short but beautiful tribute to the legendary Chicago electronic music producer Larry Heard, aka Mr. Fingers.

Track 04: 'Bwoon Dub' contains 2 tracks playing underneath it.
The first track is track 04: 'Wabby Acid' which can be found on Analord 07 - 4 x File - WAV, 320 bit only!
The second is track 05: 'Carnival Acid' found on this release: Analord 02 - 4 x File, WAV, 320 Bit only!
Either he recorded 'Bwoon Dub' on the other side of the tape,or didn't use an 'Erase Head' on the tape he used.
Remember the good old days of 'Re-recording' on 'Tape' and still hearing previously recorded music underneath it.

This is a more dreamlike release than any of the other Analords (except arguably Analord 8). My favorite tracks are those on the A side; Phonatacid displays a master of programing and filtering knowledge and haunting melodies, while the milky Laricheard beats on into forever with a snareless two step and lots of reverb. Very good synth work here as well.

This is just the best listening dance music.
A really lovely record that I will probably play for the rest of my life.
Up there with the Chicago classics but in a afx unique style
Really emotive vocoders in here, deep, deep basslines,
the vocoder at one point is unlike anything ive heard.

This is mad, if you can imgaine this, its an emulation of the fingers inc style of acid that Larry Heard did so well. Phonatacid and Laricheard could easily be remakes of Beyond the clouds or even Washing Machine. The B side Pissed up in SE1 and Bwoon dub are more like old Babyford tracks. This along with stepping filter #1 from Analord 1 is a welcome return to form for RDJ.
