After so long searching and searching for an incredible trance mix that would be fill of wonders and no fillers, I finally came across this one. It is a sensational mix of some of the best hits from the late 90's in the trance genre. It's not fill of useless commercial fillers or boring hits, but just pure trance enjoyment. It isn't perfectly mixed by any means, but it does just as well as John 00 Fleming's 'Best Trance Anthems...Ever!' and Gatecrasher Wet and Disco-Tech which were unbeatable. It is definitely far superior from ANY of the Euphoria albums and at least Trance Nation Vol. 1 (I haven't listened to the others).

CD 1 is... just wonderful. Here we have the best of the best in the forms of Planet Perfecto's Not Over Yet, Chicane's Saltwater, the ever wonderful Red Sun Rising by Lost Witness, Blank & Jones' Cream in a very different but enjoyable remix, System F's Out Of The Blue, Matt & Darey's Liberation in the best remix ever, my personal favourite - Nomansland (Lange Mix) by DJ Sakin & Friends, Wonderer by Vernon's World, Salt Tank's Dimension, Lars Sea's The Way, Vimana'a We Came, the unforgettable Kamaya Painters's Endless Wave, Legend B's Lost In Love, U.K.W's Hypnotic, Cassidy's Implode, N Fluence's Sweet Substance which is a breath of fresh air and Imajica's Sol. I would just about one of these songs is among the best trance ever released of all time, it is certainly a great first CD and after the disappointment of the Euphoria series and Trance Nation, this one blew me away.

The second disc is probably just as good as the first. It definitely still gets the 'perfect' score from me because it never bored me, and it represents 'good' trance that isn't given higher or low pitches to fit in and just flows naturally as it should. It starts off with Hybrid's Symphony which was a gem in Gatecrasher: Wet and an even bigger one here as they used the long-original version, Sasha's Xpander, Chicane's Saltwater, Fragma's Toca's Miracle in it's non-vocalized version, Blockster's Grooveline, Gouryella's Gouryella, Aquaplex's Brightness '99, and then the real true master hits - Push's Universal Nation, Lange's best hit I Believe, Breeders's Twilo Thunder, Mauro Picotto's Lizard but in an awesome Tall Paul remix for a change, Prototype's SoundPiercing, Soundcheck's Mindrive, Night & Day's Let Me Know which is peaceful, Digital Control's Dreams Last For Long which reminds me of Moonman's Don't Be Afraid and finally Veracocha's Carte Blanche. Overall, the quality of this CD is practically just as good as the first and both are extremely consistent, without any lazy tactics.

So in conclusion, you can see why I love this album and if you're a trance fan, stop and buy this! You are missing out without it. It is a platinum gem for anyone who misses this day and age.

ATB does a real crappy job in this mix... so many forced tracks been overlapped into each other, I had to go back and check on my sound equipment to see if the record was not skipping... For mixed albums from the Era, this one contains many hits, but the mixing is just pathetic.

This in amazing album indeed. Marking some of the major hits from back then. This album still does it for me. Althogh the mixing isnt really that amazing, but then again how many mixed albums from back then was? Still i think it has great coverage of the classics from 99' and this is and will be one of the best albums iv'e ever bought.

This album is a great jorney thorugh out the whole 99 scene wich is as what i belive on of the best, if not THE best year of trance. Listen, learn, love.... nuff said.

This is the compilation that got me into Trance and the electronic scene for good back in 1999 and never looked back since. An amazing compilation packed with all time classics from the best year of Trance music. Lots of Ferry Corsten, Tiesto, Matt Darey and Lange productions. The flow and mixing of ATB is superb and both CDs go from strength to strength. After all these years and listening to hundreds of compilation albums, live recordings and thousands of tracks, I still consider this, one of, if not, the best Trance Compilation Ever. Uplifting trance at its best.
