After leaving Hellkrusher, Curry and Scotty started Aftermath. They recorded two demos and played some local gigs. Once Grant, their singer, left the band, Aftermath collapsed. Afterwards, Curry and Scotty ended up back in Hellkrusher.
This EP is simply a pressing of the best songs from the band's first demo. The music is a potent mix of hardcore punk and early thrash metal. The sound is a cross between the Varukers and the English Dogs, with some Amebix vocals thrown in. The lyrics appear to be fantasy-based, but looking deeper they present some anti-authoritarian politics that would fit in with the anarcho-punks, though these lyrics are far better written.
The only problem with this EP is the recording. The sound is too quiet.
I would recommend this for fans of the genre; just make sure you play this extra loud.
