As far as I am aware, all copies of this have faults in the bonus track "Schwingspule". These are several noise snaps and glitches. Communication with the band resulted in the assurance that it would be "corrected with the second pressing" yet it never was, and also the very same track in the Last, Fragments & Live '74 set still has these faults. A great shame as it's a great track and could easily have been repaired/restored with very little hassle. Apart from that, this CD issue of Last is the best sounding version there is, being a good deal clearer with more "presence" than the Spalax CD. And also - you get my liner notes!

AGITATION FREE - LAST (Spalax 14229) CD 46m
Of all the albums of the Krautrock era, this must certainly have been one of the most obscure and sought after, the ultimate Agitation Free album recorded live in concert and featuring just three tracks. A real cosmic trip, this goes beyond other Agitation Free albums onto the nether regions of Ash Ra Tempel. Soundpool sets the scene, growing to an unexpected cut-off ending. Layla II is a lengthy elaborated version of the track from 2ND and is a guitar fans delight with Lutz Ulbrich and Jorg Schwenke's guitars in dynamic rivalry. The 23 minute Looping IV contrasts as an oozing, cyclic, rumbling melange featuring Michael Hoenig's synths, growing and moving off into space - superb!
