I find it interesting that the first record that Goldie was involved with, a limited edition white label, is selling for so little, relatively speaking.

Oh, and I could never understand what the vocal sample actually said..

Anyway, Ruffige was a banger, good memories from this. Of course most would say Goldie went onto better things via Reinforced, and I would agree, but there is a special place for this krisp biscuit!

I acquired this EP recently for £10.00, what a buy! I personally love the 4 Windows track, as it is blend of hardcore, drum n bass and techno, not sure if these icelandic dudes did any other tunes, but I'd certainly listen to them if not buy whatever they done in 1992

One of the first hardcore breakbeat releases from Iceland (released in the UK as a whitelabel), made by Thorhallur Skulason and Sigurbjorn Thorgrimsson. It was promoted in the UK by Goldie, who also had a small role in making one of the EP´s four tunes. While in Iceland he provided some vocals for the title track "Ruffige" as well as providing the icelandic boys with some of his ideas.

- "Ruffige" was was a major underground anthem in Iceland, as well as gaining recognition in the capital of the hardcore sound; UK. It was later included on the icelandic compilation CD called "Icerave", along with other unreleased hardcore tracks from various icelandic producers. "Ruffige" was originally called "A Touch Of Hardcore" but later renamed because of Goldie´s contribution.
