Ach ja ! Diese CD ist sehr sehr gut !
No seriously, because not everyone speaks German, this is a tremendous record.
Released in 1997 by the German band Ajuuca, the title is a reference of the Pink Floyd's classic "The Dark Side Of The Moon". In both cases, the atmosphere is dark, filled with industrial loopsand space ambient sounds. Nevertheless, Ajuuca adds solid beats.
In fact, the title and the album cover say it all. The intro and outro are both ambient oriented tracks, the rest contains rhythm. But I have to say, the whole album is extraordinary. No filler, just a trip into space of 70 minutes which promises to be unforgettable.
My personal highlights include "Asphalt Brothers", the eponym track, "Easy", "Sunset Beamer" and "10th Street Corner Milky Way".
A criminally ignored CD that really deserves to be in a decent collection of industrial and/or big beat fanatic.
