Not being a huge Akon fan, I got this simply because it was for free. The more soulful songs on here are worth a listen, such as "Take It Back" and the nicely arranged "Clap Again". Kat DeLuna's version of "Right Now" is also a big improvement of the song.

The Hip Hop tunes on this are mostly annoying to me though, which is largely due to the fact that they rely on rappers like Lil Wayne and Kanye West and the type of synthy beats that have already been used to death in Hip Hop and R & B music in the second half of this decade. It's not a good thing if the the only memorable rap parts on your tape come from an MC who's already been dead for more than ten years.

The biggest downside to this is the fact that it's released in the form of a mixtape by DJ Noodles, who is one of those DJs that is not contempt with mixing and cutting the tracks, but has to scream around ("History in the making!") and play jingles (yes, we hear the "closing cell door" sound of Konvict Music several times) every few minutes.

All in all, I wouldn't recommend this tape. Most of the songs have been leaked to several music blogs indivually, so it shouldn't be hard to find the few gems that are on here and enjoy them without the filler tracks and without Noodles' yelling.
