To me; quality music is transcendent in the sense that it gives an emotional experience beyond words. this is one of those records i can not describe ! cheers to Akufen and Karat!! what a treat!

I like this EP very much, although not topping his best stuff. What makes this EP very unique however is his blend of different styles. U - which is a typical Horror Inc. track, Death of a mascot/Make Bagels not war is more reminiscent of his Quebec Nightclub release and Seizure Salad is simply what Akufen is all about (very musique risquée).

It's very nice getting this EP after four long years. Thanks Marc!

U is absolutely epic. Some elegant house on this EP.

Juno Review: For those of a certain age, the appearance of this surprise new single from micro-house and "digital disco" pioneer Akufen - his first for four years - is likely to spark involuntary weakening of the knees. You see, nobody does glitchy, funky, melodious micro-house quite as well as Marc LeClair, and this four-track missive is up there with his best work. Highlights come thick and fast, from the bustling Isolee-does-two-step bounce of "(This) Make Bagels Not War", and flourishing, jazz-flecked cheeriness of "Death of a Mascot", to the brilliant cut-up beats, manipulated sampled and vocal ticks of closer "Seizure Salad" (a track that proves that he's lost none of his ability to create great dancefloor moments via meticulously edited samples).

I think 'U' contains a sample from 'Seal - Lost my faith'.
