A good chunk of this album was recorded on the same equipment that Buddy Holly recorded on back in the 50s. And it definately shows in the classic 50's style tinniness in the tracks. It makes them have a classic feel, which is fitting for someone that would later be titled "The Godfather" of New Mexico Music.

The tracks that are "must hear" on this album are the two major singles that came from it; the airy/fun "Mi Saxophone", and the sentimental/sweet "Sentimento". The rest of it is worth a listen if your a fan of 50s and 60s Americana Rock-and-Roll, or a fan of chicano music from the American Southwest.
