Heres as yet another synth based instrumental gem from the 1980s that needs a re-release. I do not know where he resides(US/Europe little is given as to his origins) but based on his Discogs catalog he appears to have composed library music which this album sort of hints at only the tracks are longer than the 1-2 min dirges one usually finds on those records.
Interesting drum machines patterns galore thankfully no TR808 or 909s(just kidding) run the percussion department augments by early poly synths. Seriously good melodic synth music I would be pressed to use the Tangerine Dream comparison but there is little sequencing in the compositions that would be of relevance. Alan has his own style somewhat sparse but always moving forward and with some sort of melody leading the tune.
At times a little of the Wally Badarou Echo's influences quirky shuffles rhythms accented with jazzier chordal structures.
