Absolutely mental release.
'Broken Silence' opens with an eerie athmosphere before the drums (reminiscent of his track 'Cuba' from the same year) and percussions kick in followed by a moody b-line. The track rises above the doom & gloom athmosphere with some well-placed jazz piano keys and flute notes. The second half busts the tune wide open with chopped-up drums at a relentless pace.
'Perimeter' can only be described a sick amen tune (am i'm not prone to using such descriptions) which grabs you from the throat from the outset with a similarly dark, gloomy athmosperic intro before breaking down into a smashing amen loop with a droning b-line, backed up with plenty of creepy oriental samples and manic flute notes. Think of a lone samurai warrior on horseback crossing a misty marsh in the dark depth of winter at breakneck speed with a sworn pledge pushing him along each step of the way ...anyway, Dev Paradox is a don
