I'm just going to comment on Space Age. Drum city! As Shades says below not your typical GLR release, tough driving rolling beats, chords & b line. Few smooth jazz type keys then appear with a vocal wailing sample... Ooh ooh, hu hu hu. A brief breakdown, bridge then back to the beats and chords. You could say a intelligent jump up tune! One for the heads out there...

Possibly the darkest most rugged tune ever released on GLR..! Amen, dirty breaks, killer sub-bass, thick, dense! bad bwoy tunaeage! At a time when GLR was at the height of it's 'ambient' 'intelligent' phase, this 12" must have snuck in past the 'quality' control lol. It just doesn't sound like typical GLR release of the time...don't get me wrong, I love most of the GLR stuff and any true D&B head should have at least a dozen or more GLR releases in their collection.
This track though is one of Dev's best along with 'Scanners' etc and a pleasant surprise amongst the slightly predictable GLR releases at the the time...Get the vinyl, of if you can't a high quality/bit rate digital version and play it loud through a full range hifi'll know the score...a tune for those that know!
...PS... why has nobody reviewed this tune till now?
