Alex Goose was asked in Spring 2010 by an A&R to submit beats for Jay-Z's BP3 album. After finding out the tracks were rejected, Alex decided to release the instrumentals as a free compilation. WIth the help of his management, he released the project on www.theblueprint3outtakes.com and received heavy free promotion through blogs and music sites. Within a week, the site got almost half a million hits, 20,000 downloads and a 10 minute feature on Sway & Tech's World Famous Wake Up Show. It caught the attention of millions and is still available for download via the website. The Blueprint 3 Outtakes was released a day after Jay-Z's Blueprint 3 hit retail.
