The heyday of The Allman Brothers Band at the beginning of the seventies, as they along with Lynyrd Skynyrd the proud standard bearers of the southern rock, a mix of rock, soul and white blues. Of the Allman Brothers is only keyboardist Gregg. The talented slide guitarist Duane comes to in a motorcycle accident in 1971, just after he had played a prominent role on the legendary album Layla & Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek & The Dominoes. In the decades that follow, embroidery the Allman Brothers unperturbed further on their characteristic sound, where the two drummers a swinging groove, over which the two solo guitarists play double runs. On "Hittin' The Note, its first studio album since Where It All Begins (1994) we find next to Gregg Allman back a large part of the original rhythm section. Oteil Burbridge and impress the new guitarists Derek Trucks. The well-oiled machine of then is over the years, thanks to the continuous rows, just smoother.
