Both discs sound really good to my ears. Much nicer than the CD versions. The packaging is also quality BUT don't go expecting much from the download. I purchased in December only to find that the DL wasn't ready. Checked again today and it's there but a 128bit MP3 of the first disc only! If you're buying with the hope of getting high quality MP3s then think again...

This is an improvement on the original U.K./Euro release. It sounds quite different and the Half-Speed mastering makes a considerable difference. The bonus disc is particularly good in terms of sound quality. Both records are flat / 'no warp.' The sleeves are good quality. The vinyl had no paper scuffs and was clean (although I wet clean new records and give them new poly/paper inner sleeves)
Overall this is the definitive vinyl edition so far, in terms of sound quality.

'Frank' would benefit from the same half-speed mastering at Abbey Road.

Anyone able to comment on the quality of this remaster?

Some good info here: http://www.udiscovermusic.com/halfspeed .... it's a digital remaster. Was it recorded digitally? (I think it was).
