Thing was skipping straight out of the sleeve. Got it new at a record store, shrink-wrap, sticker and all, and as soon as it got to "cornish acid" it started skating. Record player rarely has issues on other releases. Pretty disappointed.

sick of people calling this a bootleg. when this and the other AFX 1972 reissues came out, i asked a guy who works pretty high up at Warp U.S. about it and he said the 1972 reissues are 100% legit and that i should buy them with confidence; he explained that Warp weren't able to obtain the license to put their name on the US reissues, only europe, and that these were no different than any Warp reissue apart from the 1972 logo on the sleeve.

There's a constant surface noise on the left channel, sounds like a dirty record, although I just opened it. Otherwise, I'd say it sounds OK.

I have a copy of it compared it sounds fine compared to the Spotify stream, my only issue though is that it was pressed off center but it doesn't affect the sound quality (that I have noticed). Still it's probably safer to buy the Warp reissue to get the best possible experience and to ensure the money goes to the artist.

I've listened to this album on my setup and it sounds the same as it does online. Doesn't skip has no problems playing.

My copy of this 1972 reissue sounds good. Was way cheaper than the Warp reissues I have seen, and sounds just great. Can't account for the negative comments but maybe some of these are worse than others.

Well, I most've got lucky or something because my pressing sounds really good. No complaints whatsoever. Still, I'll try to avoid 1972's reissues overall.

This is one of my favorite albums so when I saw it in the store I picked up this particular pressing. I also noticed sound quality problems, it's like the album was mastered too hot or something, I don't know, I'm not a doctor. Definitely get a good warp pressing if you can, but this is still a great album, the sound quality isn't egregiously bad.

This sounds great on my setup, don't have a warp version to compare it to but I have no complaints with this pressing.
