The music video should be re-released in DVD/Blu-ray. Please Warp make it happen!

P.S.: I know there's a HQ version from the DVD compilation of Warp music videos, but could they "remaster" it to HD and upload on their Youtube channel?

Oddly enough, I didn't really like this single too much, and the video's shock value has worn off as the years have gone by.

To me Windowlicker is the BEST electronic single of all time and maybe the best peice of Electronica period. The only thing as good would maybe be his own Girl/Boy single. I can never really describe what this track sounds like to people. And the melodic voices are among the most vibrant, juicy, and original sounding instrumentation i have ever heard. The real reason i love this song so much is the video though, the video is so good and it's been my greatest inspiration from my film-making point of view.

This song and the video go so well together it hurts... It's just beyond my words how the voices mix so well with the bodies squirming around in the Limo. I've never really seen a video like that one and heard a song like this ever. I guess it's just a major touchstone in the world of media for me. Take the single, the video, the marketing of using his face on all the demo and promo covers, and it's just the most ingenious thing I've ever seen. Chris Cunningham and The Aphex Twin seemed to have made one of the greatest collaboration of all time and now that the video and the song are 8 years old, you can see they will stand the test of time.

It just enthralls me in ways I can't describe , it means alot to me in a lot of ways, from inspiration, to the grooveyness, to the comedy, to the intense Wall of bass at the end of the track. it's all like counterfit money though... like candy. The track, the video, the posters it's such a commercial stretch at making Aphex twin a popular figure, it almost seems like it's trying too hard... but then you throw the twisted content into the equation of placing his head on womens bodies and it just blosoms into post-modern madness.

the Song has so many different stages to it. From the deep barotone of Aphex Twins voice splashed with prickling acid in the first 25 seconds to the Surreal porno Medly at the core of the song, to the break beats in the last 3rd topped with all the experimentaion and glitch tastic randomness mixed in. And finally to the Climax(which is so well timed in the video with a burst of a champagne bottle). It encomposses so many different feels and flows and the Video capitalizes on everyone in all of it's 10 minutes and 34 seconds. It's beyond huge it's just epic!

Aphex Twin and Chris Cunningham have changed my life and if I ever go anywhere in the film business, they are the only ones that truley deserve accolade, for they have changed my life. I know this all sounds crazy and obsesive but sometimes there are things in your life that just touch you in certain ways you can't describe. Mine just happens to be Womens bodies with Aphex Twins face on top...

I'm at a loss to find the explicit content which the parental advisory sticker on the cover warns. perhaps aphex twin's devilishy grinning face super imposed on a buxom beauty's bod is what the warning is about or maybe the link to chris cunningham's video which would have been naughty if it wasn't so downright disturbingly funny.

windowlicker is by far aphex twin's best and most commercial release without compromising any of his skills that makes him such a talented musical genius. sounding like a warped soundtrack to a porno movie, windowlicker writhes and contorts its way to the fuzzy electric guitar climax. the only track worth the cost of the EP! (formula) or (equation) or a bunch of unpronounceable scribble starts of strong but falls short at the end and we hear more nannou style musicbox twinkling to last us a lifetime on drukqs.

Here's a riddle for the non-french speaking listeners. On time 2'42" of the track "Windowlicker" a woman's voice distinctly says in the right speaker the following sentence: "J'aime faire des craquettes au chien", which is quite puzzling, believe me! For if that sentence was intentionnal, it should mean "I like to do it with dogs", but in very childish words. Another explanation is that the girl who recorded that part spoke with an accent, and that she doesn't say "craquettes" but "croquettes" (which means "biscuits") - it would seem to make more sense: "I like to make biscuits for the dog". Yet, nobody makes biscuits for his dog! The last solution would be that the woman likes to do dog-biscuits (dog flavoured biscuits), which seems to be the most pervert explanation, but all the more plausible!
A kinky song, definitely!

I think Nannou is an amazing composition. It sounds like a composed piece of music, as opposed to "letting the machines run". I've read about Richard's music composition software that he wrote, and some things on R.D.James album is obviously using that. This is a whole other level of some craftsmanship.

Could someone please email me a scan of the [equation]. It reminds me of a digital filter algorithm, but, I don't think it is one.

Really dirty, window licker is one of those tracks that makes me blush whenever I listen to it. It starts off slick but becomes unashamedly trashy half way through. Without vocals or images, it's laced with seedy conotations. Only a very sick mind could come up with this. Filthy - I love it.
The middle track went over my head completely but Nannou is an amazingly pretty piece - medieval tones strangely created with Aphex twists, ticks and cracks. It works.
