"Reactor" has some nice juddering synth work in it, but "Disco Biscuit" perhaps appropriately has cheesy stabs that remind me of hard house. I find that Aphid Moon tended to spoil really good tracks with hard trance/hard house cheese that I find hard to take. A pity. ~*~

While Dragonfly has been playing with more mainstream releases a bit, especially with their Shakta release, this 12" by Aphid Moon is pure psy-trance and its a wonderful thing. Reactor's bass reminds me A LOT of Psysex. Since I love Psysex, I will forgive them the borrowing of their bass on the grounds that the rest of the track is also very good. Not quite minimal, not quite full-on, this is a track that will fit in many different sets and keep the floor moving regardless. Is it a classic? Well no, but it is a good solid thumper. Disco Biscuit is also a good modern psy track. A bit more typical, but not really full "full-on" either.

A solid psy release from Dragonfly
