On this EP, Appliance applies a shiny metallic sheen to 80s Europop, and the results are cool and robotic. The vocals add a touch of soul -- but just a touch. The only track that doesn't appear on the album Imperial Metric is "Homing Devices" -- I'm not sure if that's enough to justify getting the single alone.
