The well respected by headz in-the-know, but mostly under-the-radar Charles Noel aka Archetype offers here an ahead-of-its-time, bassy, bouncy offbeat techno EP that could remind some Grain productions from the same era, only a little harder/grittier.
Amazing production with crisp, cutting yet warm sound, and massive, loud and clear wobbling bass, especially effective on monstruous B1 track that sounds like an hybrid pre-bassmusic tune with compressed vocal snippets, that wouldn't be out of place as a secret weapon played by all the current UK bass scene (Bok Bok, Ben UFO, Pearson Sound, Pariah etc), but also totally fitting the Berlin minimal metallic dub groovers a la Shed or Dettmann, or even these outerspace twisted bouncy moments in a Ricardo Villalobos set for instance. Killer!
