Who cares if Johnny D & Nick P used the same Carrie Lucas sample earlier? This is a true pop record, this is probably the first house track I ever heard on the radio! Lots of the same disco loops have been used lots of times, over and over. But it's the total concept of this record that makes it a winner: the vocals, the production, the video, etc. Props to Armand Van Helden and Duane Harden for this amazing tune!

unfortunately this wasnt even an original outing because the henry st guys had already released a track with the same loop way back in 1996 which is why, in 1999, many people such as myself were confused, "felt like they had heard this track before" but werent sure because they didnt remember the vocals! head straight for "the captain" https://www.discogs.com/Johnny-D-Nicky-P-Henry-Street-Unreleased-Project-Part-2/release/40405

A healthy slice of house cheese... AVH doing his thing, slick production, nice beats, heavy sample use + catchy vocals.

Great to mix and one for the ladies.

Many years ago I remember the DJ Norman Jay dropping this at The Cross club in Kings Cross, London... shook the place up. Also a Notting Hill Carnival tune at Jay's Good Times sound system.

Music video for this... AVH and his Timberland boots getting the girls in NYC clubs!
