2 of Armand Van Helden's best house tracks ever. Flowers was one of Jonathan Peters' anthems at the Sound Factory, as was Mother Earth. Both are featured on the Last Dance Classics CD and are some of the best tracks on that outstanding mix. Classic vocals for those living and partying in the Philly, New Jersey, NYC scene about 10 years ago. Localized anthems. High quality pressing.

Armand prided himself on knowing how to write grooves. That means he knew his way around bass. Flowers has a jazz funk type bassline. String plucking. Mother Earth has the really warm korg-synth type progressive house bass that I always had a soft spot for. Both outstanding compositions written in different styles, but undeniably this record is the epitome of house.
