I think this will be a slap in the face of the Trance purists, but for me as an old school raver who now also loves 'trancie' genres it's a pretty nice release. These versions will easily mix in to an EDM or Trance set and provides some nice nostalgica for the people of Armins age. The production is good and the mix is outstanding. This is no Trance, but still a nice release to have in your collection.

In my opinion it's sad to see that (some) people have to gain or maintain their popularity this way. Disappointing, & shameless to burn down these absolute classics Armin.... 1/5

I was quite excited when hearing some of these tracks in the ASOT radio show, in advance of the release of the full album. I think it is always a great idea to reach back to classic tracks, if production aims at quality. Armin's versions seem to bridge the stylistic gap quite well.

Although the much appreciated 'old school' sounds and production styles (with the iconic synths and effects) have been largely abandoned as music production went entirely digital, the last couple of years saw a steady re-emergence, with software synthesis becoming more and more nuanced.

Will this album lead to more productions following suit? I for one would be excited to hearing more tracks reaching back to various EDM styles as it would not just allow more variety but make dance music more consistent with its past. 5/5.

Radio edits. So old school. Can't wait to mix these old school tracks... oh wait, you can't.
