Remastered 2LP set with 12 page booklet including liner notes by Tim Lawrence, Ernie Brooks and Arthur Russell

Abrupt beginning, endings, edits and ambient sounds are intentional and transferred from the original tape sources. "Instrumentals" Vol. 2 was digitally transferred from the original 1984 vinyl, as the master tapes have been lost. The second side of that LP was inadvertently mastered at half-speed, and has now been corrected (Side Two tracks 2-3 and Side Three tracks 1-2 [tracks B2, B3 and C1, C2]).
All material previously released on the 2006 Audika Records compilation Arthur Russell - First Thought Best Thought
"Instrumentals" Volume 2 originally released by Another Side of Les Disques Du Crépuscule 1984.

A1 to A10: recorded April 27, 1975 at the Kitchen.
B1: recorded June 26, 1977 at Franklin Street Arts Center.
B2 to C2: recorded May 10, 1978 at The Kitchen.
C3: recorded 1981.
D: recorded May 7th, 1975 at Experimental Intermedia Foundation.

Digital Transfers by Josh Clark at The Seaside Lounge Brooklyn, New York

Is there a reason this is listed as a version of "first thought..." an not it's own release, as Tower of Meaning?

Anyways my copy sounds great. The booklet comes with is a really nice forward of sorts by Tim Lawrence.

the tracklist seem a bit off?

"Reach One" is not on the A-side together with "Sketch For The Face Of Helen" but alone on the D-side.

am i right or have i missed something?
