I feel regret when i`m writing it here when i really love with Cedric, Omar etc. even when i`m not listening them so long ago. But i remembering they first releases; and not only young agressia and rage, but those time at all. And for in•ter a•li•a. i would prefered more art-rock with Mars Volta than sounds like commercial pop-punk like don`t know who. They are too adult to play something like In/Casino/Out but why it should be sounds like in•ter a•li•a? I have no any good things with it, just some sentimentional memories with old band together nothing else.

This is a great album. It's not an At The Drive In album, and how could it be? they ceased to exist nearly 20 years ago, and is much closer to the Antemasque album but with a harder edge. Just put it on, shout the choruses and be glad they're all still making the music.

I received a somewhat bowed pressing of this album. Side A was bowed downward slightly in a way that reduced contact with the record platter so that when I would use my vinyl brush it would easily stop the record from spinning due to the lack of surface contact. The record still tracked and played fine but so far this pressing is the best advertisement for a record weight clamp.

Despite this, the record was still fairly quiet with a dead noise floor and only subtle cracks.

The mastering for the album was a little bit interesting though. This mix appears to accentuate the highs of Cedric's voice and the lead guitar giving them a clear sense of orientation in the mix. The drums feel somewhat compressed but where things feel a bit lacking are with the bass. The bass really lacks any punch with the resulting sound coming off as congested, mixing with the mid tones and fogging up much of the soundstage. The bass definitely isn't as bright and punchy like Chanbara (In/Casino/Out) or even have any pop like Enfilade (Relationship of Command), but it's still better than the digital mix of the album.

The digital version does have a tighter bass sound but it's even less pronounced than the vinyl version while still having the same issues. Overall the album benefits from a vinyl pressing but it still feels like they could have separated the elements a bit more and added some heft to the bass.

This album is a clear and rather sad cash grab. It doesn't have any of the energy or angst that earlier records had but has all the polish of their professional studio albums. That was part of what made ATDI, and most punk/hardcore/post-punk bands of the time, such raw experiences, the garage recordings combined with an anger and urgency of being young, pissed off and hungry. This album sounds exactly like why the band broke up, it's phoned in to make a quick buck.

Interesting. Cedric has previously said that "Urban Outfitters is the Costco of youth culture". So they just made a plain black vinyl with a plain black sleeve? To me, it seems like they've punked people and made a watered down version for whose who buy records at UO.

I love the album but the 160kbps digital download sucks.

This actually sounds quite good, no surface noise at all.
