is it really a reissue, if it's a from cassette release ? Good Question..

This is a very nice pressing. However there is a tiny bit of hiss, as expected, this vinyl is mastered from a 20+ year old cassette tape. Very deep, bassy rich sound.

According to the liner notes, Ata Kak's "...original recording was slower..." than the source tape used for this release. The LP includes a digital download of the original, slower version. Reducing the speed of this LP by about -4 will get you close to that original recording (the title track should be in the neighborhood of 122 bpm). Regardless, this is a truly unique album at either speed.
