I just can bow down before the number of producers and compilers who made this release(s) possible!
It had certainly left its marks to a whole generation of electro-funk & intelligent dance music-enthusiasts.
Also when I (re)listen tracks of the more "hokum-pocus" kind like Monoloves "Don't you know"
or Gray Numans "dans le Park (Hell Rmx)", it does more than mauldin magic to me!
Originally this compilation was sort of a "soundtrack"-release for a late-night TV program called Space-Night where
it was matched with footages of space-missions and astronauts as well as with computer animations of future projects of int. space agencies...; however only a small selection of about ten tracks was featured in the one hour lasting "new frontiers"-program.

Early synth sounds, for real enthusiasts.

This compilation was firstly released with the track 'Nummern / Computerwelt' (length 5:43), that was produced by Anthony Rother. Both tracks were written by Kraftwerk and were originally released on their album 'Computer Welt' in 1981. I suppose the track has been deleted due to copyright trouble - Kraftwerk are well-known for it, but if they don't let Rother work their tracks - who then???
