A thunderous kickdrum starts the EP, reminiscent of the first big techno events of 1997. The atmosphere drops in temperature a few bars in, with a lot of delay on all the elements, hinting at an echoing space. It feels more like rain in a warehouse than an adrenaline rush.
Morphic Vision spices things up a notch or two with an infectious groove of slightly distorted drums and some ear-piercing honks. It is not without reminding of Adam Beyer and all that lot. Strongest track of the record, that.
The B side, unfortunately, suffers from the same symptoms as many releases of the Paradiso stable around that time: the tracks do not know what they want to be. That makes them too crazy and distorted for techno, yet too gentle and loopy for either Acid or industrial.
