Notes

Limited to 3000 copies. 500 copies in the UK.
Track A: based on two Neu! tracks, called "Weissensee" and "Im Glück" on the album "Neu!".
Track B: unclear whether or not Bic? is an existing group.

Sleeve notes from "A Homage To Neu!":
"The tracks we sent was not really a cover of 'Weissensee'. We took parts from 'Im Glück' and 'Weissensee' and merged the tracks. NEU! were a bit like Jeff Mills. We like them. We chose our favourite tracks. Sean and Rob."

Tempo wise it kinda works at 45 although the frequency shift up doesn't in my opinion.

Autechre are awesome. Really, really awesome and choosing which of their many trax are the best is a difficult task. But this release has been a staple favourite of mine from the day it was released. Especially the A-side makes the hairs on my neck stand up every time I listen to it. 9 minutes of slow, heavy beats and a mesmerising melody which evolves and mutates through the course of the track. It’s absolutely brilliant and when Ae are this good I feel that they are almost untouchable. This is for me the epitome of deep electronic music.
