The first time I heard "Raszmatazz" by Authokino, I became submerged into a world of dark drum beats and piercing drone sounds. I'm still submerged many years later. In other words, this rather bizarre italo disco song is very unique and possesses the qualities found in something like an African tribal ritual. There's chanting followed by several minutes of a repeating drum beat that sounds just perfectly right. The drone buildup is something heard 8 years later in Gigi D'Agostino's very earliest works under the name of D'Agostino Planet. This song is also a pioneer in the evolution of the first trance music. I love this song and it amazes me still to this day.
