Axel Karakasis delivers the techno goods once again.

"Hashtag" - a pounding kick drum and a rumble of bass drive this track along. It builds with the introduction of funky stabs and the fading in of a spacey, percussive chime/bell-like sound and then chugs along like that for the rest of the track, with a few breaks thrown in for good measure. All the right elements get brought in at the right time and the breaks/drops appear when you want them to. Solid, atmospheric techno.

"Happy Monday" - slightly funkier than the previous track but nonetheless spacey and dark. Another winner.

"Spillover" - comprises of pulsing bass and drums and a cheeky, high-pitched lead synth sound in the middle section which gives a slightly unhinged feel to the track. It didn't really work for me on first listen (it felt out of place) but acknowledge that could just be me! For me, this is the weakest of the tracks on the EP, though hopefully it'll grow on me over time.

Clocking in at between 126-128bpm, some might consider this EP to be too slow, but it's still expertly crafted techno, produced by someone who's been in the business long enough to know exactly what works and what doesn't when it comes to techno. The production is sparse, minimal even, but still dark and hard. Pitched up, you've got three techno stompers on this EP to choose from, "Hashtag" and "Happy Monday" rolling along nicely at higher bpms.
