The Platinum Collection compilation is the only introduction to B.A. Robertson's musical talent as a solo performer, producer and songwriter to artists including Cliff Richard (Carrie, Wired For Sound and We Don't Talk Anymore) and Mike & The Mechanics (The Living Years and Silent Running). But it is his manic single Bang Bang which brought the attention to the unsuspecting public, reaching No. 2 in 1979. He followed it up with other releases with Knocked It Off, Kool In The Kaftan and To Be Or Not To Be with varying degrees of success. His last top 40 hit was his duet with Maggie Bell - Hold Me in 1981.

None of his albums are available on CD which is why this CD compilation is commanding high prices (since this compilation is out of print). The Platinum Collection is well mastered and the sound quality is excellent giving the tracks a real vibrancy and punch.
