And ten years on (is it really that long ago? Heck...) I have to say I'm really rather taken by 'Back to Prison'. Elements of dub combined with acid house aesthetic but without being at all cliche like much that was produced then. Recommended.

I bought 'Back to Prison' 13 years ago and I seem to be making a habit of checking whether I like it every 6 years! Six years ago I must admit I didn't like it. But having just listened to it now I think it was a very brave and far reaching production. By no means an out and out classic but the styles show great vision and longevity. 'Let it Rip' contains soulful vocals and minimal percussion; 'Are Scared' and 'Version' have undertones definately in the location of Michigan; and 'Rubbadubb' is real good funky percussion. At last, after 13 years, this release has grown on me; not my favourite record but, at the moment, one of the most enigmatic!
