I agree with the other commenters. This tune was huge at the time, and for years to come. I first heard this song at a rave in LA, in early 1995. DJ Dan played it. Yea, this record was and still is a jaw dropper, especially on a big system. Bassbin Twins is one of the most unique underground acts of all time. This was one of BBT's coolest records, and BBT made a lot of cool records.

My copy has Mix 2 and Mix 3 on side A (with 'PT-003 A RE-1' etching and 'A-1 Love is A Superstar' label)...is that RE-1 a reissue? I don't see further information about it on the site...
Now that I'm hearing it again, I realize I had no idea how bangin' Mix 2 is! I certainly recall the main mix causing a commotion on every dance floor in Dallas (at least that first half or so), but it also dawns on me that Mix 2 and Mix 3 have been a part of a few D-Town mixtapes from that era.

Pretty sure A1 is sampled from the Ray Keith mix of this from the year before, unless they have some other common origin https://www.discogs.com/Supermarket-Supermarket/release/132191

This track has so much going on after the big snare drum roll into the main part. It was dance floor destroyer (in the good way) in it's day. Clever use of samples all around. As a DJ I never liked the ending to this track and always mixed out before it got there as most others seemed to do as well.

The absolute bomb dropper at a proper rave or Club One in Dallas. Peaking about 2am or later...ahhh those days...

This first set of bassbin twins records, I'm proud to say, were my first purchases as a DJ. Dropping those tracks in the day, there just aren't words for what happened on the floor. God help us all, what happened to good breaks.

This, among the other three, are more than tracks. They defined the genre for years and years to come.

I have all of these records except Bassbin Twins - Old School Immortal (12") and they are some of my most prized records. I got all of these in Austin, TX when Alien Records was around in the late 90s. Not much of a House/Techno scene but what can you expect from Texans? I haven't seen too much from A-1 Love in a while, I hope he is still making muzik either under an different name. If anyone knows please let me know. I really like his style.
